Google organized this platform around four pillars that sound innocent enough: Build, Scale, Govern, and Optimize. But peel back the marketing veneer, and you'll find something far more alarming.

The "Build" Phase: Low-Code Agent Creation

Google's new Agent Studio allows anyone — yes, ANYONE with basic permissions — to create AI agents using natural language. No coding required. No security clearance. Just type what you want the agent to do, and Google's systems will build it.

The upgraded Agent Development Kit includes a "graph-based framework for orchestrating multiple agents working together." Translation: your agents can now coordinate with each other autonomously, creating complex workflows that no single human understands or monitors.

The Agent Registry catalogs every internal agent and tool. The Agent Marketplace offers pre-built agents from partners including Atlassian, Oracle, ServiceNow, and Workday.

Sounds great, right? Until you realize: who's vetting these agents? Who's ensuring the Oracle agent isn't secretly exfiltrating your financial data? Who's monitoring the ServiceNow agent for unauthorized access to employee records?

Nobody. The agents monitor themselves.
